Senate Action on Incentive Legislation
Both SB 605 and HB 873 are on Senate agendas for today, 4/14, but sources tell us HB 873 will most likely come up for a second reading in the Senate tomorrow, 4/15 after being substituted for SB 605. This is the scenario we anticipated. We could have a vote in the Senate on HB 873 as early as Thursday, 4/16, then on to the Governor for signature next week... I will update you all with news as soon as I get it.

HB 873 approved by Senate Economic Development Committee
HB 873 was read for the first time in the Senate on April 7th, and referred to the Economic Development Committee. It was then unanimously approved by the Senate Economic Development Committee late yesterday, April 8th, and now moves on to a second read in the Senate. Since HB 873 is identical to SB 605, the Senate will now consider the House bill for passage by the Senate, and all indications are that this will occur soon.

Week of April 6th Legislative Update
This week finds us much as we were last week. SB 605 is awaiting a calendar assignment to be heard for a second time in the Senate. Right now, budget items seem to be taking priority. HB 873 has been passed out of the House, and received by the Senate. We are watching all the committees that pertain to us, and will let you know as soon as we see any movement. Stay tuned!
